We are fortunate to have a very successful colts section which means we have a substantial number of children and parents attending on a Friday night. Success can bring problems, which is why at the beginning of the season we did issue guidance to parents as our ground will be very busy between 6.00 and 6.45 on a Friday. Unfortunately not all parents have been following this which has led to a complaint from a local resident. As a club we regard it important to be part of the community and to retain good relationships with our neighbours and the local organisations. We are also concerned with the safety of your children and making the whole area a safe environment.
The attached photo shows the type of problems being caused with cars parking very close to the main road and not making it possible for cars to drive through. The car in the photo finally had to reverse on to the main road. The problem is likely to grow once The Case is Altered is reopened. Could we therefore please repeat some of the requests issued at the beginning of the season and ask that for this short period from 6.00 to 6.45 that your comply with this.
Because the area is very busy at the beginning of the sessions please DO NOT DRIVE IN TO THE CLUB IF YOU ARE ONLY DROPPING OFF. You will find it difficult to exit and cause problems for others arriving. It is best to drop off opposite Arens bar on Joel Street and then the colts can safely walk across the field
Please also at this time treat Southill Lane as a 1 way system entering at Joel Street and exiting by the Case is Altered on to the High Road. This will make it easier for everyone and help us respect our neighbours.
Please do not park in Southill Lane - either park in the club car park (there is plenty of room in the overflow field) OR drop off in Joel Street
Do not stop in the entrance road in or by the Passing Place to let your children out of the car. If you have entered the road you need to proceed to the car park and not stop causing traffic problems behind.
Many thanks for you cooperation.
