EASCOTE CC INDOOR BOWLS FINALS PREVIEW

BREAKING: The finals of the Eastcote Indoor Bowls tournament is set to start at 8pm on Friday the 5th of April with the top four team (highlighted in yellow) battling it out for the Mark Fielding Indoor Bowls trophy. It promises to be a fun night with some exciting bowls, music and some spicy Mutton rolls, Fish Patties and a vegetarian option.

The Brexiteers and the Undate-a-Bowls will also compete but this, to avoid the Jim Fairbrother Wooden Spoon.

In other news, Myvfany Barret of Few Good Men is set to become a CBE on the 4th of April! Congratulations Myvfany.

PREVIEW

Few Good Men:

This superbly well-knit team’s knitting may be coming off with key player Stephen unavailable for the finals. No doubt Captain Wallis has a cunning plan.

Mixed Bag:

When asked what his strategy was to win the trophy, Captain Chandler had said “to turn up”. Now to make sure not to miss the bus.

WrongUns:

Captain Harding’s WrongUns will be hoping they can be the RightUns on the day. Ambiguously named, WrongUns are meant to identify with the clever cricketing delivery, the Googly and not to be mistaken for ‘wrong ones’.

Top tip: Avoid ambiguity by rebranding to Doosra instead.

Bowling Stones:

Rolling Bowls have made it to the finals on the first time of asking. Now they need to believe. Captain Bramble need not worry because in his ranks he has Jason Travers who has shown that he has the absolute ability to believe in the impossible for years - Brenford FC winning the FA cup.

Other News:

Glamour Girls who had a stranglehold on the Wooden Spoon for many years narrowly failed to qualify in the top four! Angry Birds showed great promise. Carpet Burners and Stunts are bound to rue the missed opportunities that could have changed the course of history.
