Friday Night Development Coaching Information

19 Apr 2023

Good evening everyone

Only a few more days before the start of our Friday Night Development Coaching sessions on the 21st April and we are looking forward to seeing you.

The first week is always very busy with everyone familiarising themselves with the registration process, please note the details below to help get the evening, and subsequent evenings running  smoothly.

  • Please arrive by 6.00 each week so we can get everyone registered, however we will be ready to start registration from 5.45. The coaching sessions will start at 6.30 and finish at 8pm.
  • Every Friday the registration tables will be set up showing the group colours, please register at the relevant table, registration is required every week.  Should we have to cancel Friday 21st due to weather conditions making the ground unsafe, please still come to the club so we can register and give out the coloured wrist bands for your child’s group.    If you have not received an email giving your child's group please contact Charlie on charlie.eastcotecc@gmail.com
  • For future Fridays, if the weather is inclement/raining, and we need to cancel an email will be sent out by 4pm on the day, if you do not receive an email the session will take place.  Please do not contact June or the club.
  • It is likely to be cold the first few weeks, so please ensure your child is wearing suitable warm clothing. Please also bring a drink in a bottle with their name on.
  • Whilst the coaching sessions are taking place, please do not allow younger siblings to play on the outfield close to the coaching groups.  It is great to see parents watching their child’s group, but we ask that this is again done at a reasonable distance from the group setting.   Also parents are not allowed in the nets while coaching is taking place
  • Because there will be so many cars coming into the car park, there will be no exit from the car park between 5.45 and 6.30. If you are not staying, the easiest place to drop your child is in Joel Street and they can safely walk across the field. Please only park in Southill Lane if there is plenty of space - please be courteous to our neighbours.
  • When coming to the club by car, please treat Southill Lane as a one-way street with entry from Joel Street - The Woodman end and exit at the Case is Altered end, otherwise cars will get stuck.  Please note:  There are currently temporary traffic lights by the Case is Altered so entry from Joel Street is highly recommended.
  • The passing place by the nets is solely a passing place and must never be used as a drop off point as it will cause congestion, also kindly do not drop off your child in front of the clubhouse, or the grass verge by the main ground.
  • At 8.00pm each week there will be sweets for sale, we will have our bbq when we have enough volunteers to assist, if you can help with the bbq please contact Denise 07985 508180 or denisecricket@hotmail.com  Whilst the bar is card only, sweets and barbecue are cash only please.
  • The bar is open from 5.00.  Many parents stay after the session to have a drink with other parents
  • Any questions - please speak to Charlie, Denise or any of the coaches on a Friday night.
  • To assist our bar and ground staff please bring your glasses back to the bar, and do not leave any rubbish on either outfield.
  • Finally, If your child is going to bring their own bat or any cricket kit please ensure their name is on it.

We hope your sons and daughters have a great time every Friday
