Job Description: DIRECTOR OF CRICKET
Reports to: Chairman and
Executive Committee
Job Profile: The aim is to produce continuous improvement across
all senior teams, and to develop and implement a strategy that ensures a strong
and sustainable cricketing future for Eastcote Cricket Club.
Location: Eastcote Cricket Club, Southill Lane, Eastcote, Middlesex,
HA5 2EG
Background: Eastcote CC are members of the Middlesex County
Cricket League and the Thames Valley Cricket League. We have 4 Saturday league
teams and 3 Sunday teams. We run an U21 team in the Middlesex Development
League and an U19 team in the ECB T20 Blast competition plus a thriving junior
section with over 300 members. We also have an ever-improving girls and ladies’
section.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Responsible
for the management and development of all senior cricket teams
·
Develop
and implement a strategy to achieve sustainable improvement in all formats of
senior cricket.
·
To
be available to play every 1st team fixture.
·
Plan
and run twice weekly training sessions throughout the summer (April-September)
and weekly during winter months.
·
Be
responsible for the scouting, recruitment, and retention of players.
·
Making
sure development plans are in place and implemented to maximise players
potential.
·
Management
of the cricketing administration and logistics for all senior teams
·
Liaise
with the Head Groundsman on pitch and practice facilities at ECC.
·
As
a key member of the management team, supporting colleagues in delivering all
the Club’s objectives.
·
Continuously
seek (and encourage others to seek) opportunities to keep improving.
·
Work
closely with the Director of Juniors section to ensure a smooth transition of
juniors to senior cricket.
Skills & Experiences:
·
Coaching
skills. ECB Level 3 (or currently working towards)
·
Excellent
people management and communication skills
·
Possess
the motivation and enthusiasm to train and develop the playing squads.
·
Have
the passion and commitment for delivering the highest quality performance on
and off the field.
·
Have
the ability to work in a diverse environment and allow everyone to feel part of
ECC.
·
To
have played or currently playing at a standard equivalent to the Middlesex
Premier League is desirable

As Director of Cricket, you will be required to complete, or
provide evidence that you have completed, the ECB DBS process. It is also
essential that you undertake any Safeguarding courses required by ECB and
Middlesex for Club Management Committees.
