Just a week to go now until this traditional fixture goes ahead as part of an event that is being revived after a good number of years. Hopefully old pals will be reunited and new friends will be created while enjoying some food, drink and fun cricket at our beautiful home ground.
We are assembling a squad of current and prior players to populate the two teams. It is hoped that we can get together 26 individuals (allowing for rolling subs) that can be selected to create two teams that will contest a competitive match.
Please let our Chairman, Secretary or President know by 6pm on Tuesday 27th August if you would like to be involved on the field.
Main playing conditions:
- Play will start at 1pm
- Weather permitting, it will be an 80 over match
- Maximum of 42 overs for the team batting first
- Tea break will be leisurely subject to the weather
- Defibrillator will be on stand by
- No batter can be dismissed first ball!
- No match fees
