A couple of other items: Please be aware of your surroundings when out and using your mobile phone, there have been several incidents reported of youngsters on electric bikes speeding past and robbing people of their phones.
And to finish on a high - last Sunday 26th January our U13 girls played in their first Indoor League match, thank you to Chandni for providing the following report. Today our Eastcote U13 girls played in their first indoor league matches, despite being one player short they did their utmost best after never playing in a match together before. First friendly game against South Hampstead was a score of 111 to them & 86 to Eastcote. It was a bit wobbly at the beginning but towards the end they finally found the confidence and understanding of the game and started hitting the ball around. A few wickets fells towards the end making the score drop but regardless they enjoyed it and did so so well!
Second games score against the very strong and confident team which was Ealing CC was 161 and 65 run to Eastcote. By this game the girls felt like they came together and started gelling as a team. Eastcote girls batted first and took a few blows with wickets being taken or caught out however our girls didn’t lose sight of the end game and still gave it their all and did so well against a team like them, especially as their first day of this league.
So incredibly proud of them today and if they keep that fire, drive, communication and team spirit up they will soar to be the greatest.
Well done to 👏🏼
