Eastcote CC News story

ECC Net Usage

08 Apr 2025

Good evening everyone

From Monday 7th April the nets will be available for all to use.

All players under the age of 18 are to be accompanied by a responsible adult whilst using the nets. Any participant who is under 18 and not supervised will be asked to leave.

If you are using hardball in the nets then all protective equipment must be worn. Any persons not using protective equipment will be asked to leave the nets.

Booking system

We aim to have a smooth functioning booking system before the season starts. Unfortunately, the system is not ready to be sent out yet but as soon as it is ready it will be sent to all. Therefore, for the next few weeks the nets will be on a first come first served basis. Each player will have use of the net for an hour minimum (beginning and ending on the hour) and if someone is waiting then they will have to come out.

Lane 1 (first lane as you walk in) will be a designated coaching lane. This is this lane that our coaches will use if they are doing a session. They will be able to use this session at the start of the next hour as a priority.

The nets at Eastcote are for members only. If you are using the nets then you are welcome to bring one guest along to use the nets however, no more than one player will be allowed.

Private coaching

All private coaching done in our nets is to be done by Eastcote CC coaches. If you wish to use an external person to coach in our nets then this needs to be requested through Charlie Hobday.

Training times.

The nets are booked out for training at the following times. All 4 lanes are booked for training and priority is given to those training. During adult training there are no juniors to be in the nets unless they are involved in the training session.

Monday 17:00 – 20:00pm

Tuesday 16::30 – 20:30pm

Wednesday 16:30- 20:00pm

Thursday 16:30- 20:00pm

Friday 18:00 – 20:00pm

Saturday 11:00 – 13:00pm

Each net is equipped with 2 sets of stumps and this is how they should be left at the end of your session. The nets are a group responsibility and they are a reflection on how we all treat the club. Please can we make sure that after we use the nets they are in a tidy condition ready for the next person. If the nets are not treated properly then they will be locked and only open for squad training sessions.
