Dear Members,
I hope you are enjoying the joys of a warm and sun kissed summer.
As you will be aware, our club is run, in the main, by an amazing group of volunteers. But as the season kicks on and our ambitions grow, we need more help. We simply cannot keep up with all the activities and plans ECC have, or want to support, without more support. We are therefore appealing to you for your help in volunteering.
There are many ways in which you can help us, ranging from:
1. Helping with a stall, stand or BBQ at one of our big summer events
2. Helping with teas (Saturdays, Sundays or sometimes midweek)
3. Manning the barbeque grill (one evening)
4. Helping with the ‘tuck shop’ – which is a firm favourite with children and adults alike on a Friday night!
5. Technical support for our live streaming service at our games or to help increase utilization of our electronic scoreboard
6. Umpires and scorers needed for Saturday and Sunday league games (£40 for umpires, £30 for scoring) or for Friday night U17 & U19 games
7. On Saturday July 26th we host our incredible Squirrel Fest and on Sunday August 24th we hold our annual fun day. Both of these events are great opportunities to pitch in and support your club.
If you would like to help, or even just enquire about where we need support, please reach out to me directly on 07884 406 492 or speak to our Safeguarding officer Denise Broom, or our Social Secretary Louise Hobday.
We are not necessarily asking for a weekly or monthly commitment, a one-off contribution of time will be greatly appreciated. An extra bonus is that I can assure you that you will make new friends and contacts!
For those of you that already volunteer, thank you so very much for everything that you do to contribute to the success of our club.
