Match report Eastcote 4th XI won easy on saturday compleeting the whole match in under 50 overs.
losing the toss Eastcote were asked to field first (again). Datchet made a steady start putting on 38 for the first wicket off 13 overs before Neil 'Stanley' Stevens removed datchet's captain well caught by Adam harding. Datchet did not lose their next wicket until the score was on 67 when their number 3 was comprehensively bowled by Chris Thom who again bowled very well taking 4 for 21 off 7 in his spell. This put Datchet on 67 for 2 17.2 overs. Chris Thom then took another wicket in the same over removing datchet's best batsman. The slide had started and datchet were removed for 93 with neil stevens taking 3 for 41 off 13 and Aman Lotay taking 2 for 2 off 2.5. Danny Skilton had figs of 8-1-20-0.
Aman Lotay (u15) and Jean Saleem opened up for eastcote adding 21 before Aman went for 14 - he had to get out sometime!!. JS and Vikesh Patel (u15) took the score through to 74 before JS was caught trying to finish the game off quickly.He made a good 30 and hit a SIX....yes I can confirm JS hit a six. Vikesh batted through finishing not out on 32 - James Roan tried to copy JS and Vikesh in hitting the 6s but went for 6 to leave Stanley to block at one over before Vikesh finished the game with a classy cover drive for 4.
