Match report In a match reduced to 15 overs due to overhead conditions, Eastcote & Ickenham played out a thriller, with the match going to the very last ball.
Batting first Ickenham amassed a very healthy 133 for the loss of 5 wickets with their skipper, Scott Wilsher being the major contributor with a belligerent 63. Our bowlers provided some generous assistance, dishing up far too many wayward deliveries, which were either dispatched for 4, 6 or contributed to an extras score of 25.
In reply we suffered the early loss of our skipper and then the run machine that is Hassaan Mohamed. Enter 'Gorgeous' George who got us back on track with an excellent 52, aided and abetted by the other George. Going into the final over we needed 19 to win. Enter Rushil Malde, of late so out of form he could not hit cow's backside with a banjo ! Cometh the hour cometh the man - Rush hit 15 off 5 balls, including a superb 6 over extra cover. Three were needed off the last ball but we only managed two. So the match was tied. One for the crowd but not the managers !
