Match report Our final league game of the regular season saw us visit Harrow St Marys, who most unusually were not having the best of seasons. Having won the toss we invited our hosts to bat first and Jehan struck with the second ball of the game. Wickets then followed at regular intervals and we did well to bowl them out for 66 off the final ball of the twentieth over. All the bowlers performed well, with Jehan, Hamzah & Aman being the pick.
The low target gave us a chance to promote some of the unsung members of the side up the order, with George Agius and Nikhil Patel benefitting from time in the middle. We duly reached our target in 12 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and thus ended the season on a high.
At the time of writing the final league positions are unclear, but it is likely we finished top, thus completing a league & cup double. Our reward is to enter the play off system, starting next Monday with Tower Hamlets away in the cup play off at Regents Park. Bring it on !
