Luck was on our side, as this home game was allowed to start despite the very wet conditions either side of Monday. The sun shone as Eastcote batted first with Ross Richardson at the crease for the whole of the innings, scoring a very sweet 79 not out on a slow and wet outfield. Well supported by Zakariyya Sheikh, Zeshaan Mahmood and Lucas Golding, finishing not out on 16.

Ickenham were kept at bay by excellent all round bowling from Eastcote, as Jonathan Napier and Zeshaan got 2 wickets a piece, followed by a late stumping by Ross on the bowling of Oliver Spyrou.
Thank you to Sanjay Patel, (Kailum’s dad) for scoring on the night, and to all the boys from both sides who were very well behaved and enjoyed their first game of the new summer season.
