Match report Captain James Mans won the toss and elected to field first.

From the start this looked like a good decision due to Ickenham’s opening batsman’s middle stump being up rooted from a straight delivery from Chandler. After this, wickets were falling quite frequently with both opening bowlers Chid and Aaron Phillips both ending up with 4 wickets a piece due to some great work in the outfield by Eastcote. Chid ending up with figures of 16-12-16-4 and at one point bowling 10 maidens in a row. Phillips ending up with 9-3-15-4. U17’s bowler Joe Davey bowling well on his first game for the 4’s ending up with 2 wickets to his name and great catch at point.

In the end Ickenham bowled out for 64 from 32 overs.

Opening batsmen James Mans and Sam Moody looking to finish the game quickly started off with intent, Moody in particular being aggressive to Ickenhams attack.

Mans was dismissed chipping one to cover on 12 which brought Holmes to the crease with the score on 49-1. Having spent most of the season informing the captain of his skills it was the chance he had dreamt of even though maybe a bigger total could have allowed him to "unleash" his full array of shots, Moody and Holmes taking the game home within 10 overs to finish off a great, if a slightly quick day for the 4’s. Moody finishing on 38 and Holmes on 5.

Yet again this weeks report was brought to you by Adam Holmes, who in no way has a new nickname or anything like that, just in case you had heard his high kick was impressive and his keeping technique had a touch of "Jazz Hands" about it.
