Match report Eastcote won the toss and Captain James Mans elected to field.

Turning up on Saturday Eastcote needed a win to regain second place this was always going to be a big game.
Unfortunately Hayes turned up with a much weakened side which was obvious from the first over with Chid starting off well taking middle stump.
Both openers Chid and Chris Thom bowling well with Chid ending up with 13-3-44-7 (which could have been 8 wickets if the skipper could catch) and Chris ending up with 11-4-16-1.
Spinner Phil Smith was then brought into the attack to replace a fading Chris Thom and bowling a great line and length ending up with 2 wickets from his 3.1 overs. Adam Maxted also bowled well in his 2 overs but was not needed to take any wickets.
In the end Hayes bowled out for 80.

Captain James Mans decided not to open and sent in Sam Moody and Adam Maxted to knock off the runs.
Moody playing his usual style hitting the ball well and Maxted running the ones and twos. Maxted ending up falling on 15 which brought William Bramble to the crease. The game was finished up by Moody ending on 49 n.o and Bramble on 6 n.o inside 12 overs.

All in all another successful day for the 4’s who for the second week in a row bowling a team out for under 100 (maybe one day the captain will decide to go for the 25points and bat first eh Mansy?)

Nothing to add to this report other than Mr Holmes is correct I cannot catch (or field for that matter), and yes we will be attempting the 25 points from here on in, league table is as below
