Match report This was the first game of the season for the boys who played against Stanmore last night, and they performed very well. The team was lead by Nikhil Shah, who displayed some good leadership skills and knowledge on field placings etc. I was extremely impressed with Shyam's enthusiasm and vocal skills behind the stumps, I think we have a bit of competition for Sebastian as to who talks the most! Zack, Harrison, Zaki and Varun all put in solid bowling performances, and Chris and Sam bowled some good deliveries also. Our secret weapon Sebastian came on and struck twice in his first over, well done mate! The fielding was sharp but slightly too deep in our positioning, but our catching was great.

Batting wise I thought we looked a level above Stanmore. Harrison was solid and made a very good 20, George looked good until his departure, Zack batted with great confidence for his quick fire 16, and Sam looked extremely comfortable and mabe an excellent 20 before being retired to allow some others to bat. In all honesty if Sam had stayed in we would have won comfortably but I felt all the boys needed the opportunity to get in before the league starts. The game finished all square with Sam being run out going for a very tricky 3 to win the game.

All in all it was a good game with good performances, and a fair result!
