Match report Eastcote batted first in the North Area U11 Cup Final and scored 128 for 4 wickets off 20 overs on a low wicket where the ball skidded on if bowled full. Short balls stood up to be pulled or cut but with the low bounce you weren't quite sure what to do when the ball was pitched up. The pitch didn't make for a large score and with 2 early wickets after 4 overs, 100 looked like a defendable total. Jafer and Jamie put on 96 for the 3rd wicket and both perished near the end trying to up the run rate. A match defining partnership where they consolidated early on and then upped the run rate exactly when required.

MTSSC did their level best to keep the runs down by having 4/5 boundary fielders throughout the match.

Opening bowlers Khizer and Anand did well giving away only 16 runs and taking 1 wicket from the first 6 overs but the bowling after that for the next few overs wasn't so good. We conceded 42 runs off the next 6 overs and in total gave away 25 runs in extras which was pretty much double the top score from a MTSSC batsman. Arjun picked up 2 wickets and Khizer came back to pick up 2 more, both being on hat tricks.

A comfortable win in the end but we need to brush up and be better organised and sharper in the field.
