Match report Eastcote travelled to Bessborough to play a friendly match on another beautiful evening.

Captain Imaad lost the toss and Bessborough decided to bat. Eastcote's new ball pairing was fast bowler Imaad and Thomas bowling a combination of off-spin and fast bouncers. After an early breakthrough from Imaad, Bessborough dug in and it took an excellent spell of bowling from Kabir to prize out the second batsman. Bessborough then had an excellent partnership of 58 between Ritesh and Nash which pushed the score towards a final total of 122 for 5. 3 quick wickets at the end were shared by Nikhil (2) and Chris (1), Ritesh finished on 44 not out from 41 balls.

Shyam and Varun opened the Eastcote innings and initially struggled to put bat on ball, wides being top scorer for several overs. Bessborough bowlers Kapil and Thanuka were particularly economical with their bowling. Shyam began to push the score along, bringing up the 50 partnership, but perished in the 11th over for 27. Varun soon followed for 16, at which point Eastcote needed nearly 10 an over. It took a brilliant knock from Vinosh to push Eastcote towards the finish line, scoring 43 from just 28 balls, well supported by Chris with 10. Despite the urge to send in the big hitters, Eastcote kept faith with the agreed batting order, and it was left to Seb and Imaad to score 6 from the last over. Needing 2 to win from the last ball, Seb calmly pushed the ball for 4, claiming a nail-biting win in a well played match.
