Match report League match at Ruislip, starting at 5.30pm so that we could watch England being beaten by Luis Suarez.

Shivam lost the toss and was asked to field. Conrad took an early wicket, but then Eastcote struggled to make a breakthrough. Ruislip captain Luke was well supported by James in a partnership of 39. The game was then turned on its head by Sanka, bowling well flighted leg spinners. In 2 overs he took 5 for 2, including an incredible hat-trick, which was completed by 2 excellent stumpings from Tom. Ruislip never recovered from this and limped to 49 for 7 off their 20 overs, Shivam taking the 7th wicket.

Danesh (17no) and Saavan (25no) then batted very sensibly, racking up the 50 required in the 8th over, with very good calling and running.

So off we raced to watch another England World Cup disaster. At least we won't go out on penalties!
