Match report Eastcote secured an unlikely victory on the back of two outstanding bowling performances by the young guns. Asked to bat on a pitch of dubious quality, we ground out 120 all out off 47 overs. Saavan Shah and Dave Wakefield added 15 priceless runs at the end of the innings which proved to be crucial. Rishi Wijeratne had earlier topscored on debut with 23, while Gordon Summerfield fell attempting a second run when on 22. Jafer Chohan opened the bowling and took 4 for 41, and was the perfect counterfoil to Joe Daver who bagged 5 for 16. This result confirms our position at the top of the table and a win next week will see us win the league.
