Match report 25 over friendly match played on a sunny Sunday evening. Saavan won the toss and decided to bat first.

Aiden and Saavan batted very steadily putting on 50 for the first wicket. After Aiden was out Nikhil Sharma also batted well with Saavan, who was eventually out for a very good 40. A mini-collapse followed, including Nikhil for 25. Tom H and Nikil Shah played good, aggressive innings to help push the score onto 145 for 9 off the overs.

Conrad and Daniel opened the bowling for Eastcote. Conrad is turning into the team's unluckiest bowler, missing the outside edge and stumps on several occasions. Divyam and Sanka took over, and between them dismantled the Watford top order with 5 wickets. Wickets continued to fall, including one for Tom G and, much to everyone's amazement including himself, one for Aidan. Watford finished on 108 for 9 off 25 overs.

This was Eastcote's best fielding performance for a while, full of energy, and were well marshalled by Saavan. Thanks to Aidan for filling in at very short notice, and entertaining everyone in the field! Special mention for Dan Travers, for offering to fill in for an absent player, and dad Jason for rushing home to get his whites only to find the player had arrived.
