Match report This was Eastcote's final league match of the season, their chances of winning Division 1 being taken away by yesterday's rain.

Put into bat, Shezad and Dominic got off to a steady start. Dominic was out trying to up the run rate, bringing in Omar. Runs were hard to come by with a very slow pitch and outfield, so Shezad and Omar did exceptionally well, running several 1s and 2s. Both completed unbeaten fifties, taking the score onto a very respectable 140 for 1 in 20 overs.

Bessborough got off to bad start with James (3 for 10) and Naresh (2 for 7) taking regular wickets in the opening spell. With Amaan taking a wicket with his first ball, Bessborough were reeling on 22 for 6 from 9.1 overs. Ritesh and Thanuka decided to make the Bessborough innings last the 20 overs with some test match style defensive work, the score ending on 51 for 6. Amaan finished with fantastic bowling figures of 3-3-0-1.

So, despite being unbeaten in the league, Eastcote come 2nd to Uxbridge, who picked up 7 bonus points in their defeat at Eastcote. We now play Division 2 winners Harrow St Mary's (2013 under 15 national champions) in a North Area play-off, for a place in the County League knock-out stages.
