Match report Ever so often you get the privilege to participate in a game of cricket that reminds you why you play the game, Why the stresses of 10 pm phone calls on a Friday night are worth it.
We batted first, and with the notable exception of Charlie Daragon (24) the top order faltered to 45 for 5. A resolute and polished 42 not our by Amanbir Bansal ably supported by Prajesh Chauhan (18) and Joseph Wilcox 17 not out, saw us to 148 for 8. Remember we were on 10. It was not a match winning total, but we resolved to defend it. At 104 for 2 and cruising Barnes seemed to have it in the bag, but we kept going. A sparkling catch by Prajesh at backward point was a boost, as was Joban Singh's inspired spell of 5 for 23 off 17.3 overs. Charlie daragon and Shashank Kurra kept it tight at the other end collecting 3 wickets between them.
The pressure told and we came away with a great win
