Match report Touring team from Notts; this was a midweek Tuesday friendly at home.

As good hosts we let them bat first and they scored 233/5 off 34.1 overs and sportingly declared in a time game. ECC used 8 bowlers including Harrison Broom's wicked legspin and all bowled well. Super Young George Harvey on his adult debut had the best economy followed by Snehaan Das. Arvind Joshi 2/31and Shalin Thanki (bowling offspin for a change) 2/42 got the most wickets.

ECC's young guns then smashed it chasing the target down for the loss of just 1 wicket off 29 overs. Luke Ede (who also kept wicket well) opened and hit a superb 111 not out. His opening partner Harrison Broom smashed 80 (in a first wicket stand of 164 0ff 20.2 overs)..rattling along. Dan Travers strode in at one-drop to hit 30 not out.
