MATCH REPORT:

For Game 10, we had our super openers back but again didn’t strike with the ball early enough and dropped some chances at slip during Jazib’s super new ball spell. Markyate & Luton Town set us 286 to win (reaching 285/9 in 40 overs); with yours truly slowing their innings a bit with a spell of 6-0-34-3 and Dheeraj taking 3/64. Fuller and Hudson put on 155 in a shade over 10 overs to lay a solid foundation, then Saihaj Kapoor (30 t out with a solid pro display) laid anchor after Rash fell for 82. Tom retired at 129 and we lost Jawwad quickly but Jazib took us home for an 8 wicket win with almost 15 overs to spare. Now this was a top run chase with no hiccups and making it 10 wins out of 10 at the halfway stage (on June 30) felt special and well worth it (more so since I had done a runner on my wife on our wedding anniversary that Sunday).
