It was with great sadness that we received the news earlier this week of the passing of one of long standing, and much loved members, David Charles Young, fondly known as DCY.
DCY passed away in the early hours of Monday morning at Hillingdon Hospital, he will be greatly missed by many at the Club.
A loyal supporter of the cricket club, as a player and in later years as an umpire at many of our matches, DCY will be fondly remembered riding his bike to and from the club, he was also a Life Member of Eastcote Cricket club.
Our condolences are sent to his family, wife Carina, son and daughter, Guy and Claire.
DCY’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 18th August, 2.15pm in the West Chapel at Breakspear Crematorium. Due to the current number limitations on attendance at funerals, the family of DCY have created a website for him which has all the details of the drive past of the club at 1.45 on the 18th August, and Webcast login for members who wish to view the ceremony.
