Good morning everyone
I am a day late with the diary, but come with great news, we have raised £430 for MacMillan cancer support, thank you to Lou for organising and to everyone who either came and donated on Saturday, donated but couldn't attend and to everyone who brought rolls and cakes throughout the weekend, fantastic effort.
Leading on from last Saturday in October we are supporting a local project for the homeless and those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. Mona Saleem, a long standing member of ECC is very involved in the project. We will have a box in the club lounge for the month of October and encourage you to donate any dry and long life packaged good items you can spare. Rice, pasta, soup especially welcomed.
We have a club hire on Saturday 30th September.
Here are a couple dates to add to your diary for October:
Friday 27th October - Children's Halloween Party 5.30 to 7pm, £5, hotdogs, jelly or cake, and sweets to take away. A sign up list will be going up beginning of October, payment can be made online or over the bar, if payment is made online please add your name and Halloween as reference, also let either Lisa, Lou or myself know so we can add you to the list.
Saturday 28th October - ECC Dinner Dance at Northwood Golf Club - 7pm, tickets are going quickly, have you got yours?
We have other events planned and will be highlighting them in the weeks to come, Race Night, Music Bingo, Quiz to name a few.
Don't forget that the bar is open every day including Christmas Day, we will be operating our winter opening hours in the next week or so, I will send a separate email with those times shortly. Your support in the winter months is greatly appreciated.
